Spring Chicken Travel - Cindy and Scott Vegas Trip

My Birthday in Las Vegas
My husband (Scott) and I arrived in Vegas, around 8:00pm on a Thursday, I have always wanted to go and see what the hype was about and did I get a good feel. We were just in time, the weather was very comfortable, October is a great month to travel basically anywhere, here in Vegas is was great, low 60’s at night, mid 80’s during the day, with little to no humidity, can be tough on the sinuses though. We took a taxi to our Hotel, we stayed at the Golden Nugget on Freemont Street, this hotel was very nice, very friendly staff and excellent restaurants on site. it was very affordable. We checked in with little effort, went to our room and dropped off our luggage, which weighed more than the allowed amount, I will have to work on this.

We headed to see Fremont Street, During October they have entertainers lined along Fremont Street and it was Freight Fest, Halloween was in full swing, the whole street was packed with people from all over the world, several band where playing, of course it was Halloween theme, but great fun. One of the most entertaining things to see while in Las Vegas in my opinion is the light show which takes place on the Viva Vision screen, and is one of the largest screens in the world, located in the heart of Down Town Vegas on Freemont Street. With 12 million lights, and hundreds of thousands of wattage blasted into the sound system, the show is a breath taking, heart pounding affair that you will remember for years to come.

All along Fremont street, there are more than 60 restaurants that you could visit. These range from extravagant affairs that require reservations, to 'fast food' style joints that let you get a quick bite to eat. This wide variety allows you to pick and choose exactly what you want without having to leave Fremont Street in order to do it.With so much to see and do, living through the Fremont Street experience is a requirement for anyone visiting Las Vegas for fun or even for business.
